Some items have a hard time selling online and as a result, we don’t typically accept them for consignment: collectibles such as Beanie Babies, Dickens Village, NASCAR, etc. If you’re not sure, just ask.

The consignment process begins with a consultation. If you can provide pictures and/or a general description of your items (brand, quantity, condition, etc.), we can usually provide a free, no-obligation assessment of your items via phone or e-mail. Items accepted for consignment need to have a potential market value of $50.00 or more. Items of lower value can be sold in groups or small collections. Things accepted for consignment will be entered into inventory with a copy printed for you along with our current consignment agreement, we will then prepare your items for sale. This process includes minor cleaning, taking professional quality photographs of your item, and creating a detailed write-up of each consignment. After items are listed for sale, we handle all correspondence with prospective buyers, payment collection, and the packing & shipping of your item to its new home.

We’re located at 201 North Commerce Street in Galena, IL 61036. We prefer to work on an appointment only basis but current clients can drop off items during normal business hours. Please call or e-mail us before dropping off the first time or large amount of items. For large collections / estates and higher value consignments, we also offer pick-up services in the Tri-State area.

We list most items in 1-2 weeks and larger collections may be longer but most all items are posted within 30 days of their arrival at our offices. We post on eBay for auctions and Buy It Now (BIN) listings. Auctions we run for 7 days at an opening bid price that we determine is best price based on research and client input. If the item does not sell during the first auction cycle we will relist 2 or 3 more times at auction with a lower starting price. BIN listings are posted for 30 days and are for a fixed price set by my team or our clients. We will repost 2 more 30 day periods with a reduction in price each time. Auction items may be relisted for BIN listings after the auction cycles have ended. Some specialty items may take longer to list or sell.

Payment can be requested as soon as 20 days from the date the sale is made. Payments are clients, request and can be mailed or sent to a Pay Pal account. Consignors with several items can request partial payment or wait until all items have been processed and receive one check at the end of consignment sales cycle.

All revenue for items sold on consignment with EZ Sell USA are split 50/50 with our clients. We do pay for all expenses related to the sale of your items including fees charged by eBay and Pay Pal. We take care of all shipping charges that are generally paid for by the buyer of the item. Some items may be sold with FREE shipping to enhance sales, actual shipping charges may reduce the selling price of individual items.

Higher value items generally selling for more than $1,000.00 per auction or individual sale can have higher return to you our client. These lower fees can be discussed on a case by case basis with you when items are consigned. Minimum sell prices can also be set by you for any items you consign with us.

All items consigned with us will be given 60 to 90 days of work to find a buyer. If no sale has been achieved our consignors can reclaim those items at a cost of $10.00 per individual auction listing, which may be for one item or a group of items. Consignors must request the return of items at the time of consignment. Any item left on consignment for more than 120 days from the date of consignment are considered abandoned and will be disposed of.

Since we share in the success of the sale of each item our goal is to find the highest-selling price possible, is a worldwide market place with active bidding and buying taking place every minute of every day. When selling to bulk antique or estate buyers, the buyer hopes to buy for the lowest possible price so that they can sell for the highest possible price. Local auctions work for only one thing and that is to clear out an estate fast with little to no regard to selling price or value.
